I know some of you are grumbling at the thought. But, personally, I love winter. I get excited to see the first snowfall and look forward to the upcoming holidays. I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover -Swarovski Crystal Clover!

Where did February go?! Seems like I just finished up some new beaded Heart Jewelry (which I never even got posted on the blog!) and it's already March! That said, I've been doing my best to try and not analyze why I just bought another strand of heart beads a week ago. :-)

Just this morning I looked up in the sky and saw the seasonal "V" of flying birds coming back our way. That's a good sign! A sign spring is on its' way.

Which means I gotta get myself in gear! Seems I hit a creative bump the last few weeks. But, I've got so many new and exciting things planned for Crystal Allure Beaded Jewelry in 2013. So, let's get started!

Crystal Green Lucky Charms Shamrock Anklet (A113)

First up in the ever expanding handmade beaded anklet collection is the new St. Patrick's Day shamrock anklet. We all know four-leaf clovers to be associated with St. Patrick's Day. But, did you know they appeared in centuries-old legends as symbols of good luck. In the early days of Ireland, four-leaf clovers were Celtic charms, presumed to offer magical protection and ward off bad luck. We all remember as children both giving and eating Sweethearts Conversation Heart candies at school. You remember them...the tasty pastel sugar hearts pre-printed with quirky phrases expressing love and devotion. Even today as adults we recognize and associate them as the American icon of Valentine's Day and they are still the best-selling Valentine candy around.

NECCO (New England Confectionery Company) has been manufacturing these lovely candies since 1847 and manufactures over 8 billion hearts each year. New Beaded Necklace: Sugar Plum Fairy

Every other year or so, my husband and I will attend the local Nutcracker Ballet show. It's a beautiful ballet and perfect introduction to the surprise, excitement and beauty of the upcoming holidays. Personally, I've never professionally danced although when I was young I'd stand for hours on end at the local dance studio watching all the girls dance -wishing I could be one of them. Alas, it never happened. But to this day I still love the beauty and magic of the Nutcracker -the dancing snowflakes, the land of the sugar plum fairy, clara, the Nutcracker, well, the whole thing!

We had a great Christmas and even better, we celebrated our 7th anniversary -which is just three days before Christmas. I loved our December wedding (and being a December bride!)...although a little snow would have been nice. Yup, most brides still choose summer weddings but not me. I wanted a winter wedding. The holiday season is extra special, magical and embracing. I also SNOW! But sadly, we never got a single snowflake on our special day! Although, on our 6th anniversary I purchased a custom made chocolate Snowflake Cake and it was delicious!
