Emerald AB Leaf Gold Blue Crystal Beaded Lanyard (L101)

Not only is this beaded lanyard the luckiest color around, it'll take you right through to autumn with its' four (like a 4 leaf clover!) aurora borealis (AB) finish emerald green leaf beads. If that's not enough to convince you how about the rich 14 karat gold fill beads and Bali used in the design (it's like having your own pot o' gold!). Amanda's Custom Childhood Cancer Awareness Bracelet (B196-CC)

In 2012 Amanda contacted me about creating a very special custom childhood cancer bracelet. She had come across the popular Guardian Angel Caregiver Awareness Bracelet (B196) and wanted to customize it just little further.

Amanda's design request was that this handmade beaded bracelet was to support raising awareness of childhood cancer, organ donation and organ transplant.

Gold is the awareness support color for childhood cancer.

Although Swarovski does produce a gold crystal, it could look harsh for this delicate style. To hold true to the awareness color and the request of Amanda, I used instead the soft crystal golden shadow Crystal by Swarovski. Paired with that were sterling silver beads, Bali and letter beads TS (the initials of the child) and TX (for transplant). I finished design with a sterling silver awareness ribbon charm and signature jewelry tag. The bracelet measured 7-1/2".

This very special awareness bracelet was created in honor of 2 year old, Thomas, who is battling childhood cancer and was to begin chemotherapy treatments.

Beautiful Springtime Jewelry: Dragonflies & Butterflies

As I sit here today, the snow is coming down pretty heavy and although it's 19 degrees out, the blowing wind is making it feel like 7 degrees. It's actually quite mesmerizing to stare at the falling snow. What's going through my mind? Spring and Gardens!

You have no doubt heard the saying that when you see a butterfly, especially one that flutters closely to you, that it's your guardian angel (relative, friend, etc) that has passed on.

Freshwater Pearl Dragonfly Charm Lariat Necklace (N099)

I happen to believe my guardian angel is a dragonfly! I've especially noticed this the last few years from the start of spring through the entire warm season, I was 'followed' by a dragonfly. Every time I turned around, there it was, right there by me. And this makes sense to me because my older brother, who passed in 1998, would definitely have chosen to be a dragonfly instead of a more delicate butterfly!

The handcrafted pearl necklace above features garden of fresh blooming freshwater pearls in olive, light blue and peacock individually wire wrapped, accented by sterling silver ring circles and blue Swarovski Crystals. This beautiful lariat necklace is given modern edge with a 44mm hand-wrought delicate teardrop wire loop that has been hammered for added interest to showcase the sterling silver dragonfly charm. As if floating through the air these handmade beaded earrings feature springtime colors in blue, green and yellow Swarovski Crystal Butterflies beads. Accented with aurora borealis Swarovski Crystals, Swarovski Pearls, sterling silver beads and sterling silver french hook ear wires. Length is 1-1/4" from the bottom of the ear wires.

Treasure Chest Goldstone Gem Bead Ring (R104)

An 8x15mm goldstone gem bead, resembling a treasure chest of shimmering gold, is hand wire-wrapped in 14 karat gold-fill wire in this handmade bead ring. Currently available in 6-1/2" only.

Goldstone is often mistaken as a natural gemstone, when in fact, it is a man-made glass. Produced in a low-oxygen reducing atmosphere, the finished product is glass infused with glittering metal flecks which creates its' eye-catching sparkle. Goldstone is sometimes called 'stellaria' or 'sun sitara' (sitara means 'star') for its' starry internal reflections.

The most common form of goldstone is reddish-brown which is usually referred to as 'brown goldstone'. Sun kissed goldstone beads shimmer in the sunlight with golden copper sparkles that punctuate the rich reddish-brown color.
