The plan this past weekend was to get some more jewelry listed on the website, but that didn't quite happen. It was my nieces' 3rd birthday and she LOVES princesses (and the color pink!) so I made a pink princess castle cake.

With spring on the way, I wanted to get posted this one of a kind gemstone butterfly necklace. The charming feature of this hand wire wrapped necklace are the detachable charms. You can wear one necklace three different ways.

Wear as a simple single strand necklace; with one single butterfly charm drop; with one double butterfly charm drop; or with both the charm drops for a truly lush springtime garden look (see below for example of the four ways to wear this necklace).

The full design incorporates sterling silver monarch butterfly charms, black onyx gemstone, red aventurine gemstones (which really look orange), freshwater pearls, clear Swarovski Crystals and sterling silver wire.

The length is 19-3/4" long with 1 butterfly drop 2" and the second butterfly charm is 2-1/4" drop.

The Cat's Meow

I regularly read The Beading Gem's Journal and the other day (coincidentally, right after I posted the blog about our Have a Heart, Help A Pet event) I happened on over there to find Pearl had posted the Two Tales of Tails in part about cats and an adorable pair of earrings she had made (that I just had to share with everyone!).
So, just how does one get this adorable pair of earrings for ourselves?! *smiles*

Have A Heart, Help A Pet: HSUS Spay Day 2009

I'm very excited to announce Crystal Allure is helping to raise funds for animals in need. February 24, 2009 is recognized as National Spay Day to raise awareness of the need to spay and neuter our pets, with the goal of reducing the number of homeless pets that are euthanized each year.
Together with the Humane Society of the United States, we were offering a fantastic event to help raise money towards this very worthy cause.
